Palace Jewelers at Manitou Galleries continues its tradition of hosting it's Annual Open House with works by Jennifer Curtis, Arland Ben, Harrison Jim, and B Tom along with many other internationally known and respected Native American jewelers. Jennifer Curtis is a traditional silversmith specializing in stamp work. Her father was the most respected heavy stamp silversmith of his time and was known for his clean lines. Jennifer is highly revered for her design that pays homage to her father while continuing to push the boundaries of stamp design. Arland Ben is a nationally recognized jeweler, photographer, and actor having been in movies such as “Last of the Mohicans,” “Geronimo,” and “Buffalo Girls. Arland is known for his overlay petroglyph designs that are a nod toward trading post designs at the turn of the century. B Tom is a first generation jeweler who apprenticed under Harrison Jim. B does not limit herself to jewelry, but is a skilled potter as well as fashion designer. Her influences include Helen Hardin and she designed her Helen Hardin Spruce Bracelet to pay homage. Harrison Jim was raised by his Aunt and Grandmother who were weavers. The rug designs and the creativity in the home influences his tufa cast designs today.
