When Ethelinda begins a new horse painting she starts with the eyes every time. “If I don’t get the eyes right I can’t paint anything else. It’s challenging to get them just right, but it’s exciting getting them to reflect the way they do,” she says. “Once the eyes are done, and I’m happy with them, I can move onto the rest of the painting.
